Anne's interests are in the intersection between literature and citizenship in postcolonial societies, and the role of colonial photography in shaping notions of self, identity and citizenship in Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific. She is currently involved in a research project titled 'Racial Futures: Eugenics and Genetic Engineering in Literature'.
