Born in Fiji and of Indian descent, Reema Rattan is a strategic communications specialist who has been on the Institute’s Council since September 2017. She co-hosts Communication Mixdown on community radio 3CR, sits on the Victorian Schools Animal Ethics Committee and tutors high school students as part of the Church of All Nations’ African Community Development Program at the Kathleen Syme Library in Carlton. Apart from Fiji and Australia, Reema has also lived in Seoul, South Korea, where she worked for the nation’s biggest English-language newspaper, The Korea Times, and Tokyo, Japan, where she was the Asia-Pacific editor of The Conversation Global.
