Sundhya Pahuja

Sundhya Pahuja is a Professor of International Law at the Melbourne Law School and Director of the Institute for International Law and the Humanities at the University of Melbourne.

Her work centres on the question of global inequality and international law’s role in its production and maintenance, as well as its possible alleviation. Her publications include the prize winning, Decolonising International Law: Development, Economic Growth and the Politics of Universality, and the edited collections, International Law and the Cold War(forthcoming with CUP) (with Craven and Simpson), Reading Modern Law: Critical Methodologies and Sovereign Formations (with Buchanan and Motha), and Events: The Force of International Law(with Johns and Joyce).  Sundhya recently delivered The Lauterpacht Memorial Lecturesat the University of Cambridge, took up a Fulbright Senior Fellowship at the Institute for Global Law and Policy at Harvard University, and held a fellowship at the Stellenbosch Institute for Advanced Studies.
